The Italian Teacher by Tom Rachman

At out November meeting we will discuss a book selected by Burk,

Tom Rachman, The Italian Teacher, Viking, 2018

Burk provides the following pre-discussion information about his selection:

—————————————————-
Since we have a lot of non-fiction selections I think a novel now and
then is called for. “The Italian Teacher” first came to my attention
several months ago when it was reviewed on the first page of the Sunday
“The New York Times” “Book Review.”  It is a story of the relationship
between a son and his father. Since all of us were sons and had fathers
and all of us where fathers and may have had sons, I thought it
appropriate for discussion by a bunch of men.

I would only hope that none of us had father’s like Bear Bavinsky, or
perish the thought, were fathers of the Bavinsky mode.

I am going to leave it at that and not offer any discussion suggestions.
I think reading the book will bring forth a variety of thoughts for our discussion.
